This Shipping & Delivery Policy describes how Flower Room LLC ("Flower Room," "we," "us," or "our") prepares, fulfills, and delivers orders placed through our website. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Service Areas
Flower Room is a local florist based in Staten Island, New York. We deliver fresh floral arrangements to select zip codes in the New York City metropolitan area. Delivery availability is determined at checkout based on the recipient's address. If your address is outside our delivery zone, you will not be able to complete a delivery order; in-store pickup may still be available.
We do not ship flowers nationally or internationally. All orders are hand-delivered locally by Flower Room staff or our delivery partners.
2. Delivery Methods
- Local Delivery: Hand-delivered to the recipient's address within our service area.
- In-Store Pickup: Available at our Staten Island storefront during business hours.
3. Processing Times
Because every arrangement is designed and assembled by hand on the day of delivery, processing begins shortly after your order is confirmed. Most orders are prepared the same day they are placed, provided they are received before the daily cutoff time.
4. Delivery Timeframes
- Same-Day Delivery: Available for orders placed before our daily cutoff time (typically 1:00 PM Eastern Time), subject to availability and delivery zone.
- Next-Day & Scheduled Delivery: Orders placed after the cutoff, or for a future date, will be delivered on the scheduled date within the selected delivery window.
- Delivery Windows: You may select a preferred time window at checkout. Windows are estimates, not guarantees. We make every reasonable effort to deliver within the selected window.
- Sundays & Holidays: Delivery availability on Sundays and major holidays may be limited. Check your delivery calendar at checkout for available dates.
5. Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on the recipient's address and delivery zone. The exact fee will be displayed before you complete your purchase. All prices are in US Dollars (USD).
6. Order Confirmation & Tracking
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. Once your arrangement has been dispatched for delivery, you may receive an additional notification. Because most deliveries are local and hand-delivered, real-time tracking numbers are not provided; however, you may contact us at any time for an update on your order status.
7. Address Accuracy
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including apartment or suite number, building access instructions, and the recipient's phone number. Flower Room is not responsible for delays, failed deliveries, or additional fees caused by incorrect, incomplete, or out-of-date address information. Redelivery to a corrected address may incur an additional fee.
8. Failed or Undeliverable Orders
If delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive the order, we may, at our discretion:
- Leave the arrangement in a safe, shaded location at the delivery address, if appropriate
- Leave the arrangement with a neighbor, doorperson, or front desk
- Return the arrangement to our shop and contact you to arrange redelivery (additional fee may apply) or pickup
We are not responsible for the condition of arrangements left unattended at the recipient's request or when no one is available to receive the delivery.
9. Delays Beyond Our Control
While we make every effort to deliver on time, we are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, traffic, road closures, building access restrictions, acts of God, or emergencies. In such cases, we will communicate with you as quickly as possible and work to reschedule delivery.
10. Pickup Orders
If you select in-store pickup, orders must be collected within the specified time window on the scheduled pickup date. Orders not collected within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time may be forfeited without refund, at our discretion.
11. Perishable Products
Fresh flowers are perishable. Once an arrangement is successfully delivered or picked up, its care and condition become the recipient's responsibility. Please follow the care instructions provided with your arrangement to ensure maximum vase life.
12. Refunds for Shipping Issues
If a delivery issue is caused by an error on our part, please contact us within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include redelivery, a replacement arrangement, or a partial or full refund at our discretion.
